RE: WW Repairs

Well, got a nasty email from Giant (the vice president) today telling me that I am in for legal action becuase of my failure to disclose my frame issues. I just got done talking with Allen from warranty and Mr. Jimenez the custom service guy both from Warrior and they seem pretty positive that they can resolve this issue in a much more amicable fashion than Giant is doing. I hope WW comes through on this. You'd think after buying 2 Weekend Warrior trailers from Giant in the last 3 years that they wouldn't be so quick to blame and work towards a solution instead of threatening. Unlike alot of people I think that WW is trying hard right now to make amends and will hopefully do the right thing for a loyal customer. If you didn't know your had frame issues then you didn't fail to disclose anything. Unless you're a certified frame tech how would you know. Scare tactics at their best. Anyways, WW will do the repairs for free if your build date was before 12/31/2006. Just drop it off at the service facility.

RE: WW Repairs

Yeah I finally was able to speak to a live person today Rafael Jimenez. They have pics of my bent tongue and agree it needs repaired. He asked me when I plan on coming to Disney and drive the trailer down and they'll fix it. Let's see 2000 miles from OR roundtrip at 8 MPG x $5 gallon would be over $1250 for fuel alone not to mention at least 5 days of my time. I don't even think it's safe to tow that far in its current condition. They are looking into a local repair facility for me though on the plus side but expect the cost to be around $1500 for the repair which consists of straightening the frame and boxing in the current C channel steel tongue with a piece of flat steel welded to it.

RE: LP Detector

Must be wired to a different circuit. Pull the fuses one by one and see if any take it out. Wouldn't be the first time I've seen circuits mislabeled.

RE: WW Repairs

Well it's been over a week now for me and still no call back from anyone at WW. If you ask me, so far their customer service is terrible. It looks like you only get service if you still have warranty left. I have a 5 inch plus bent frame on my 2005 FB2200 on the tongue.

RE: WW Repairs

I have a 2005 FB2200 and my tongue is bent upwards a little over 5 inches from the base of the frame at the body to the end at the tongue. Currently in touch with WW right now as to the course of action to take. I also got the same info from Rafael that only 2000 and 2001 trailers were effected but per the law suit any model trailer built from 98 thur 06 should be eligible for repairs for any frame bending. Mine has a Zieman frame with 3/16 C-shape (not boxed) tongue material.

RE: LP Detector

I had mine start doing the same thing. I installed a new one and no problems since. It's been over a year now. I just shut off the main 12V switch to cut power to mine and installed the new one. With nothing on the inverter could still be buzzing if it's charging the batteries.

RE: WW FB2200

Well doing some more research I am part of the class action suit so it should be getting fixed. Any Zieman frame on any model from 98 thru 06 is part of the lawsuit. The prophylactic fix only applies to the superlites or FS models. I don't have the boxed frame on my tongue like the newer ones do. It's C channel and is 3/16 thick which is no where near as strong as boxed 3/16. It's bending right where it goes under the main body so I see no way that the WD bars could be causing the issue. If it was bending between the WD mounting point and the ball I would say the WD bars could be suspect but they aren't loading the area over a foot behind where they attached which is where the bend is happening.

WW FB2200

Anyone experienced a bent tongue on the FB2200 model? Mine's a 2005 and after my last trip this past weekend the tongue appears pretty bent. I'm going to take some measurements tonight and call WW tomorrow. I saw all the issues with the superlites bending but haven't seen anyone list an issue on this model. I'm going to check and see if I have the 1/8 or 3/16 framing on my tongue. Aren't the frames suppose to have a lifetime warranty?
